This morning we took a public bus and travelled for 3 hours to Kalambalam. Then another bus to Varkala town. From there a tuk-tuk to our accommodation in Varkala beach, North Cliff. It's the best beach we have seen so far in Kerala, but with strong currents and waves, so one has to be very careful when swimming. The beach is also reasonable clean and there are some foreigners, and on the top of the cliff there are many small shops selling everything, as well as cafés and restaurants.
