Last night I went to the Spanish meetup. There are few of them in London but this one is the biggest one. Yesterday there were about hundred people who came, and it was my first Spanish meetup since I returned from South America. I used to go to them before my trip in 2009 but it was sooo different!! I almost didn't speak any Spanish then, just a few words and sentences, and I felt a little bit shy and isolated (typical feelings for a beginner of any language). I was also frustrated that people couldn't get to know real Me because I didn't talk to them much. Now I feel confident as I can speak Spanish, so it is easy for me to approach people.
In the picture with two lovely guys: Mykal (on the left) and Walter (on the right). Mykal is the organiser of the meetup and he is passionate about Spanish language and culture. Walter is from Sicily, my favourite place in Europe.
