On the first day of my father's stay we went to the centre of London, it is a must every time he comes. My father was grumpy which made me feel down but then I understood that it was tiredness. He travelled on his own from Stanstead airport to Crystal Palace. When he was buying a ticket for National Express bus, they didn't want to accept 20-pound notes he had so somebody helped him to go to a bank and change the notes (even I didn't know that the notes are different now). Then he put some money on his Oyster card and it didn't want to read on the bus. Finally it did but I could immagine how much stress it gave him.
Luckily, his grumpiness disappeared at night and the next day he was ok. We went to see my best friend Brendzia in Acton. It is a must too as my father likes Brendzia very much and she also visited me in Poland several years ago. We were all playing Wii games at Brendzia's, my father was the only person who didn't because he is too serious for this kind of entertainment. I had a lot of fun. In the picture: Brendzia in a wig, my father and Brendzia sister's boyfriend.
On the last day (Sunday) we went for a walk to Bromley. I wanted to take my father to the seaside or Windsor but he said he would go by car as we used to travel before, and that he was too tired to travel by bus or train.
My father brought me a lot of food and he also tried to give me money. These are the only ways he shows me his love - food and money. It was like this all my life. He never hugged me or said a good word. Well, I consider myself lucky because I have had loving parents but I wish they were showing me their love in a completely different way.
