I don't like crowds so I didn't go to the city centre and waited for ages in the crowd to see the couple for few seconds. This is what hundreds of people did, arriving to the place from various cities and towns in the country even few days earlier and camping.
Instead, in the late afternoon I went to a street party in Battersea High Street, one of hundreds of streets parties in England on that day. It was quite boring, especially for a person who doesn't drink much alcohol and doesn't like English music. But at least I could see some people making effort for the occasion and enjoying themselves (in the picture). After that we went to the Battersea park for a walk.
