In Cosenza

I have spent 2 days in Cosenza (Calabria), visiting family of my Italian friend Joe who lives in London. The evening I arrived there was a big party as Joe's parents were celebrating 41st wedding anniversary. We were joking with Joe that even if we get married tomorrow we will never get to this anniversary :)
I met many members of his family, they all made me feel very comfortable and engaged in what was happening. Yesterday we visited new and old part of the city; I loved the old part and I could spend hours just walking around. Unfortunately it was cold as it is in Italy in this period, especially at night.
Of course I had a lot of fantastic home-made food at Joe's house, and we also had very tasty pizzas in a restaurant (I chose pizza Piccante from the region, Calabria is famous for its spicy food). Today I am going back to Piano di Sorrento, Joe has already left to London this morning.
