10 September 2012

We returned to London yesterday. In the morning we had a very tasty and unhealthy (cakes!) breakfast in a typical Italian bar in Trieste and then we took a bus to Ronchi dei Legionari Airport, 33 km north west of Trieste. It takes 1 hour and the ticket costs 4 pounds.

We had a fantastic busy holiday, travelling from one area of the country to another, discovering places, meeting local people and Alessia. We did over 800 km (DubrovnikSplit – Zadar – Hvar – Plitvice National ParkZagrebRijeka – Opatija – Trieste) and we were so busy that we never had time to get bored.
Croatia is a great country, with an amazing rocky coast and it’s still inexpensive.
We can relax now and stop packing and unpacking every 2 days :)
We spent no more than 600 pounds each on this 2-week holiday; it includes accommodation, transport between cities and a restaurant meal every day (only in Zagreb we did 2 nights of couch surfing).
In the pictures: again my favourite Piazza dell'Unita d'Italia (with my new Italian haircut) and the last breakfast before our return to London.
