The next day we left to Avola, a small town on the coast. The town is lovely but the beaches were awful, with rubbish on the sand and in the water. I was going to have the last swim before our return to the UK but when I saw the water, I changed my mind. Shame!
In the evening we went to Siracuse, it took us 30 minutes by car. I love Siracuse - I spent a lot of time in the city 20 years ago. We met my friends and we had a beer in a very interesting "beer shop" where the owner had a wide knowledge of beer making and he could talk about it for ages.
