The second night in the treehouse was as bad as the first one. The cold and loud banging on the metal roof didn't let us sleep. We were told the banging noise was the water condensation dropping on the roof. Despite the lack of sleep, we felt good and positive.
In the morning we left to Colombo. We took a tuk-tuk from Sigiriya to Dambulla bus station for 1,000 rupees (20 minutes' drive). There are many buses from Dambulla to Colombo. In Colombo we took another bus to Mount Lavinia (the whole trip took 7 hours and cost £3.50 for both of us).
Mount Lavinia is our last stop before flying back home and it's situated between an apparently nice beach in Bentota and the international airport near Colombo. Unfortunately the beach in Mount Lavinia is dirty, there is litter everywhere. Shame, because otherwise it's a nice beach and in the distance you can see the business district of Colombo (in the picture).
