Pune, Day 1

We reluctantly left Betalbatim and its amazing beach, and we took a plane to Pune. Flight time 1 hour, cost £54 pp. There were some riots in Pune so Uber and Ola were not operating. Taxi drivers took advantage of the situation and they tried to rip us off, they wanted 2000 rupees instead of the official 600 rupees. Finally we found a tuk-tuk driver and after a hard negotiation we agreed to pay him 600 rupees so £7 (normal fee is 200 rupees) as we had to get out of the airport. What really surprised me was that the local people have to negotiate hard too.
We arrived in the Mont Vert Grande complex where our couchsurfing hosts Kapil and Kusum live. They are a very nice couple, so open minded and easy going. They shared dinner with us, we talked until late and then we had a good rest in their guest room on a queen bed.
