We liked the most South Goa and Mumbai, although other places were nice too. We were surprised by how beautiful Mumbai is. Chennai (former Madras) was the biggest challenge because it was being thrown right in the depth of a big chaos and noise, but it's good it was the first place in India we visited. This was exactly how I imagined India.
We love Indian food, even more now after our trip, and also the masala tea which I would like to make at home, instead of the normal English tea.
We met wonderful people in our trip, beginning with our couchsurfing hosts in Pune (Kapil and Kusum) and Mumbai (Nimit and Foram). The place we didn't like was Calangute.
What we also didn't like was seeing many cows starving in India. In Chennai we saw them rummage through the rubbish bins like dogs or foxes because it's a city and pavement everywhere so how are they going to find grass? Then the cows on the beach in Agonda, how are they supposed to find grass on the beach? Forgetting the cows, we had a great trip.
