Our last stop was Barletta, a town situated 40 minutes’ drive from the Bari airport. We wanted to stay there to be able to get to the airport quickly before our flight back. Barletta is beautiful too, as I think all Italian cities are, but there are bad drivers and we also had a bad experience with the owner of our B&B. He didn’t explain to us that we should not lock the main entrance door so we did it when we left the apartment as we thought we needed to do it for security. Because of this the neighbour could not leave the building as she could not unlock the door from inside. When we found out about it, we apologised to her and did not lock the door again, however the next day we were accused again of locking the door, and the attitude of the B&B owner was not nice.
On the first day in Barletta we wanted to spend a couple of hours on a beach but we made a bad decision - a beach in Biscegli, a small town near Barletta. The beach was very small, with pebbles and I was scared to swim in the water because there was a deep descent after about two meters.
