The journey from Caserta to Bari took almost 3 hours. We arrived in our B&B and had a walk around the city that seemed to be calmer and cleaner than Naples. In the morning we had a walk in the city again and then we took a local bus to Bari airport. We picked up a rented car from the airport and we drove to Vieste in the Gargano National Park. The Gargano Peninsula is one of the most scenic parts of the southern Italian region of Puglia. It's green and mountainous with pine forests, olive groves and long sandy beaches. Most of the area is the national park, and aside from some seaside resorts it's unspoilt.
In the pictures: in Bari.
