Expo Day 1

First day at the Expo... Initially it didn't seem to be so good (we went to some fairly boring pavilions of some countries - surprisingly including Costa Rica, where we plan to go) but then we went to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Thai pavilions and the 3-D projections there were fantastic.

In the Italian pavilion I learned 2 new things. The first one was that spirulina in small ponds inside the Italian pavilion was converting the carbon dioxide emitted by visitors into oxygen and reinjecting it into the pavilion - wow! The second thing was Fibonacci numbers, commonly denoted Fn, that form a sequence called the Fibonacci sequence (each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers). They sequence appears in the nature, for example in tree branches, the fruit sprouts of a pineapple, the artichoke, sunflowers. 11 hours on foot walking from one pavilion to another.. uffff. Expo makes you tired but it's worth it.
