This morning we took a bus to Al Ain, a town in the desert, near the border with Oman. Raquelita gave us a lift to Khalifa University where she works, then we took a taxi to the Abu Dhabi bus station. The bus to Al Ain was very comfortable and cost about £6 (130 km).
We arrived in Al Ain at lunch time and went to our 5-star hotel. It is very hot, hotter than in Abu Dhabi because there is no wind from the sea. The hotel is amazing, not only because of the spacious room but also facilities, and nothing is difficult or impossible for the staff that works in the hotel. After spending a couple of hours in the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, we went to a Beirut restaurant. The food was fresh and very tasty, and the portions huge, so huge that we took half of it away for the next day lunch. We also visited a shopping centre oposite our hotel, called Al Ain Mall. It was big and I found an equivalent of our TKMaxx, called Brands For Less. The shop sells the same items/clothing/shoes etc. that our TK.
