I arrived in my Couchsurfing host Guillermo house in El Calafate on 28th January, his friend was visiting and we were talking for a while. There's also India, a very friendly beautiful dog that comes to say hello to the attic where I sleep. The town itself is very touristy, there are mainly American tourists. The outskirts look like Alaska without snow, I have never been to Alaska but I have seen many films.
The next day I finally had some proper sleep and rest, then went to the main street, which is very touristy, and I bought some food. I made lunch for me and my host (pasta with tuna), and went back to sleep. I was so tired because of all the hiking I had done. In the evening Guillermo made dinner (chicken with spices and vegetables) and he took me on a drive around the town with India. He showed me places that no tourist would see. He showed me house he's building with his own hands and knowledge. It's really impressive. We also went to Lago Argentino, the largest lake in the country, and I had a great time. The sunset is at about 10 pm in Patagonia in January and February, so days are long and I could take advantage of that.
