The following day we took a bus to the capital of Gozo, Victoria, and then another bus to the start point of our walk: San Lawrenz. From there we walked for about 12 kilometres to Xlendi, it took about 4 hours. It always takes longer than predicted to finish the walks, as sometimes the trails dots end and it's difficult to guess where to continue, so we had to look for the dots. It seemed that the dots were painted in the direction opposite to which we were walking, so when looking at the map from the left side to the right side of the island. And we were walking from the right to the left. Anyway, we always managed to find the right path, even if we had to look for it for a while. In the evening we spent some time visiting Victoria. In the heart of the city lies the Cittadella (Citadel), formerly known as il Castello. We went there at around 8 pm, right before closing. There were only a few people and it was wonderful at night. Then we did shopping in a huge and beautiful supermarket, where home-made bread, olives, hummus, halwa were fresh and inexpensive. We bought a lot of products, I could spend hours in this supermarket. We came back by Uber, it cost about €5.
