In Japan, Tokyo

When we arrived at Narita, one of Tokyo's 2 airports, we were very tired. We didn't sleep on an uncomfortable plane and it was 8 am in Japan and midnight in London so we were ready to sleep and the day has just started. We got to our accommodation in Asakusa district (which is famous for a beautiful shrine and large market) and slept for 3 hours. Then we went out.
We are staying in a flat with a Japanese guy called Kazuki, the flat is beautiful and the location is fantastic. The only problem with our room is that it's facing a busy street so it's very noisy.

The weather was nice, 22 degrees during the day and about 10 at night.
We like Asakusa a lot. It has a great atmosphere. Although it's Tokyo it doesn't feel as busy as London. There is a huge Senson-ji temple and a market with food and souvenirs.
Japanese people are respectful and very helpful, they ask if they can help when they see that you need help.

We are very lucky to be here during cherry blossom ("Sakura" in Japanese). It's beautiful. We walked along the river where people had picnics after work, there were so many people because of the cherry blossom. It was unusual for us to see a group of men in suites sitting on a blanket with a long table or box and eating dinner.
In the pictures: Senson-ji temple and Asakusa market.
