The only thing I learned from the safari was that peacocks can fly, as we saw many of them on the tree branches (in the picture). I thought they were too heavy to fly.

This morning we woke up at 5 am and we went on a jeep safari to Udawalawe National Park. The park is great although the safari itself was a bit boring. It lasted 3 hours and it was literally stopping by each bird, each group of buffalos and the occasional elephant. There were also crocodiles in a beautiful lake but they didn't come out so we only saw their backs in the water. Some of the guests in the hotel we were staying did the full day tour and we thought it would have been too much.
