We arrived in Hikkaduwa, checked in in our hotel and then we went to the beach. I don't like it here. The beach is overcrowded, dirty and the restaurants overpriced. It's noisy and unpleasant. There is little beach here as the hotels and restaurants were built right on the sand. There are turtles on the beach, many people surround, feed and touch them, they are obviously mesmerised by the turtles but it feels wrong.
We made a wrong choice by coming here, influenced by websites that claimed that it's one of the best beaches of Sri Lanka. I am so disappointed.
