After that we walked on one of the bridges near the fort. Apparently there are 36 bridges in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 22 are across the rivers, and 14 are flyovers and rail bridges. The bridge is very beautiful but unfortunately what you see under the bridge is scary. It's a filthy river with a strong smell of raw sewage. Apparently the sewers go directly to the river. Such a shame!
When we returned to our hosts’ apartment, we had a long chat with them. We come from different cultures but the conversation was flowing and we could understand each other so well. Kusum is one of the best cooks we know (we ate home-made breakfasts and dinners), she makes an excellent Indian food and she won some food competitions.
