On Monday morning we moved to a hotel in the centre of Valencia as we had an agreement with Luis that we would spend 2 nights in his house. When we arrived I told him that we decided to stay 2 more nights and that we had booked a hotel. He insisted we stayed longer in his flat but they work during the week so we didn't want to disturb.
During the last 2 days we visited some places in Valencia and I met with an estate agent to talk about purchasing a flat in the city. We viewed 8 flats and I really liked one of them. However, to buy a flat in Spain as a non-resident you need to have about 50% cash (40% deposit and about 15% fees) so I am not able to buy it now, but it's something I would like to do in the future.
I also met with my Polish friend Asia, who has been living in Walencia for about 10 years now. We visited Walencia 11 years ago for the first time and then I came to visit her 6 years ago (2011). She was living in a town called Paterna and now she lives in a student district Benimaclet. The area is very nice and it was lovely to meet her after all these years.
In the pictures: the amazing Plaza de Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square), Plaza de Virgen and our first in this trip paella valenciana.
