Chichen Itza

Today we went to Chichen Itza, it's an hour by bus from Valladolid. It's an important city of the Mayan Culture in the Yucatan peninsula and apparently has the most impressive buildings of any other Mayan ancient cities, such as Kukulkan's Pyramid (El Castillo). It was a place to tick off the list, and to be honest we enjoyed other places in Mexico much more, such as Teotihuacan Pyramids near Mexico City or Monte Albán near Oaxaca. But it was a must-see...
