We had a walk this morning to Cat Co 1 and Cat Co 3 beaches, it's a nice walk. Unfortunately a huge hotel complex is being built right on Cat Co 1 and all the natural beauty of the place is gone. Such a shame!!!
I had a very interesting lunch today: avocado blended with spinach, pumpkin seeds and yoghurt and with 5 kinds of nuts on the top. Absolutely delicious. For New Year's Eve dinner we had a buffet near our hotel, in the street. It was very good, with fresh seafood that was grilled for the customers while they were waiting and other Vietnamese food that is low-fat and very healthy. My favourite food so far are fresh and fried spring rolls with peanut or chilli sauce.
The New Year came very quietly, we were exhausted because of the jetlag and I had to slap my face to stay awake! The NY is not celebrated in Cat Ba so there were no fireworks and the only celebration we could hear and see from our balcony was the one in the restaurant where earlier we had the buffet dinner.
