Cat Ba island

We took a bus to Cat Ba island at 8.30 am. The trip includes a 20-minutes ferry ride and takes 3.5 hours in total (270,000 Vietnamese dong per person so £9). To be honest we were relieved to have left this polluted and noisy city.
Cat Ba Island is the biggest of the 367 islands on 260 square meters that form the Cat Ba archipelago and by far the biggest island in the whole of Halong Bay. Part of the island, along with the rest of the archipelago, is a designated National Park. It's quiet here and the sea view from our hotel is breathtaking.
