The following day (Sunday 9th February) we went to a beach in Punta Mogotes. We took a public bus again and we travelled for about an hour. I liked this beach too, with the famous Punta Mogotes Lighthouse, which is 36 meters high. On the way back we had a walk in the city centre. There were some celebrations, for example a concert, because of the city's 151st birthday. It was founded in 1874, and since then there was a development of tourism, luxurious casino (one of the biggest in the world) and chief economic activities are building construction, textiles, and commercial fishing and canning.

What I noticed in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires and it makes me laugh is that some older people, as soon as they get on the bus, they shout: "I am going to fall down! I am going to fall down!". This is to force people to give up seats for them. I agree that older people need the seats more than younger people, but if they really fall down so easily then they shouldn't be taking buses.
