In Opatija

Today we woke up very early and we went to Opatija, a town located southwest of Rijeka (10 km, half an hour on a bus, £3.50 return ticket). It's a small town with expensive hotels everywhere and not very popular with foreign tourists (as I suppose they don't know about it) but it's beautiful and it has great rocky beaches. The town is definitely more interesting than Rijeka however we were wondering if it was possible to find inexpensive accomodation amongst these big hotels.
We had a pleasurable swim in the again incredibly transparent sea then we came back to Rijeka. At 2 pm we took a bus to Trieste.
