We took a plane this morning from Lampedusa's small airport and we arrived in Catania where we booked a nice studio flat for a night. In the afternoon we met with my dear friends from Palermo, Maria and Alberto, who happened to be in Catania too. It was fantastic to see them again, after 7 years. Last time I visited them with my father and we stayed in their houses in Palermo and Milazzo. They are successful professionals; they manage several shops in a few locations in Sicily. I found out about Alberto's scary fight with cancer few years ago, of which I didn't know.

This night we are meeting Luciana and Claudia again. They were visiting other cities in Sicily and they arrived in Catania this afternoon.
