Today we spent all day on the beach, we felt very comfortable having sun loungers and big parasoles, belonging to Russell's hotel. The Andaman sea was warm and pleasant. In the evening we had a very nice and cheap Thai meal.
We were laughing about smell of the durian fruit again. Pet told us that you can't eat it and drink alcohol at the same time as this can cause vomiting and even death. I compared its smell to old socks but in fact people say it smells like a dead body. 
Russell works for the British Council in Bangkok, he manages English teachers there. He likes his life in Thailand very much. He said that where he lives (and I am sure it's a nice block of flats) there are many British people who are probably on benefits in the UK, at least they look like people on benefits, and they happily live in Bangkok instead of looking for a job in the UK...
