After visiting Dharavi we took a train to the central Mumbay station, had a walk nearby (Mumbai is so beautiful) and we had one of the best meals on our holiday in the Fountain Plaza hotel for 300 rupees for both of us (paneer makhanwala, ghee rice and parotha - in the last picture).
From there we took a local bus to the Taj Mahal hotel where we had tea for 400 rupees so £4.5 each. For this money I had very high expectations and the tea wasn’t anything special, there are much better teas in bars for 60/80 rupees, not to mention the home-made teas made by our hosts. But drinking tea in the Taj Mahal hotel was a part of our Indian experience.
