This morning we flew to Mexico City and from there to Cancun. Unfortunately there are no direct flights from Oaxaca to Cancun which is a shame. Anyway, the flights were very pleasant. In the Cancun airport we took an ADO bus to Playa del Carmen. We are staying here for one night as our destination is Holbox, an island in the north part of Quintana Roo. We were unable to go straight to Holbox as the last bus leaves at 1.30 pm and we arrived in the airport at 3 pm (it's one hour ahead here).
In the evening we went for a walk in Playa del Carmen and I had a swim in the sea. We don't like it here because it's too busy and too touristy. It's like Benidorm. We initially planned to stay here for 4 nights but we decided not to come back here and we cancelled our hotel.
